Designer Clothing in the US: From Pre-Launch Hype to $88,000 in Meta Ads Revenue

ROAS of 681% in the first month and 569% in the second, against a 300% target, while the budget grew more than threefold

Client & Context

An online store of designer clothing in the United States, preparing to launch a new collection.

Market: United States. Service: Meta Ads. Ad budget: $4,500 in the first month and $15,500 in the second.

Project goals:

  • Build a systematic account structure that supports every stage of a new collection launch.
  • Create demand and warm up the audience at the pre-release stage.
  • Keep ROAS at 300% or higher during scaling and active sales.

The Challenge

The client asked us to build an advertising ecosystem from the ground up. The main challenge was to sync marketing with the life cycle of the product: first prepare the market for the pre-release, then convert the accumulated interest into sales and scale the budget several times over.

Approach

The foundation

To avoid chaotic testing and keep the focus on target metrics, we started with groundwork:

  • Audience analysis: a deep study of US market segments to match the interests of likely buyers of designer clothing.
  • Campaign architecture: an account structure that separates traffic into a warm-up stage (before launch) and a scaling stage (after sales open).
  • Creative strategy: detailed briefs for visuals that convey the brand's premium positioning and build interest in the new collection.

Stage 1, December 2025: foundation and pre-sale

In the first month we widened the brand's presence and prepared the base for future sales.

  • Format diversification: we added static banners to the video-only content the account had used before. This reached new audience segments and allowed proper split-testing of formats.
  • Multi-layer segmentation: a grid of audiences covering remarketing, lookalikes of buyers and of active social media visitors, and interests. It revealed the most stable directions for growth.
  • Pre-sale campaigns: traffic aimed at introducing the new collection. The cold campaigns built initial interest and also collected the data (geo, age, gender) needed for precise retargeting at release.
  • Direct sales: the campaign created once the cart opened performed strongly from the first days, confirming the warm-up strategy.

Stage 2, January 2026: scaling

On the back of a successful start, the client decided to raise the budget more than threefold, to $15,500. The challenge was to spend it without a critical drop in return.

  • Optimization and reinforcement: we stopped low-performing ads and focused the budget on the strongest creatives, with copy adapted to New Year sales.
  • New materials: additional creatives from the client were integrated into automatic campaigns and into the successful interest groups.
  • Retargeting and lookalike synergy: the focus moved to audiences collected during the pre-sale, with creatives adapted specifically for retargeting. This converted users who already knew the brand.

Over the two months the store earned $119,338 from 742 transactions. Ad spend grew about 3.4 times between the two months, yet cost per purchase moved only from $25.30 to $27.62.

Key Results

  • Target ROAS exceeded: 300% planned, 681% achieved in December and 569% in January.
  • Revenue: $119,338 over two months, from 742 transactions.
  • Accumulated data: a detailed picture of the buyer (geography, age, gender) that became the base for precise lookalike and retargeting campaigns.
  • Safe scaling: combining interest audiences with classic remarketing allows budgets to grow without losing traffic quality.

Conclusion

A two-stage strategy built around the product life cycle did not just meet the KPIs, it exceeded them. The project showed that even a threefold budget increase in designer fashion can keep returns high. The cooperation continues, focused on holding the reached budget level and on continuous optimization to raise the project's margin.
