SEO for a Clothing Brand: +105% Organic Revenue Six Months In
Revenue +105%, purchases +67%, users +34% and search impressions +39% in March 2025 against February 2025, six months after the start
Client & Context
A Ukrainian brand of men's and women's clothing with its own production and an online store as the main sales channel.
Market: Ukraine. Service: SEO. Engagement started in October 2024 and is ongoing. Tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner.
Primary metrics: organic traffic, conversions and organic revenue. Agreed KPIs: +10–30% traffic every month and +10–20% conversions.
The Challenge
The goal was to increase the number of orders from the site through SEO. In practice that meant improving positions in search and growing relevant traffic through quality link building together with technical and on-page optimization.
Fashion e-commerce is strongly seasonal. November, with Black Friday, is always the store's best month of the year, so its anomalous peak is left out of every comparison below.
Approach
We started with a deep audit of the site and an analysis of competitors, and built an individual strategy rather than a template. The plan ran in three stages.
1. Audit, semantics and structure
- A detailed technical audit, and a developer brief written from it to fix every issue found.
- A semantic core collected and clustered against the products in stock and the client's wishes.
- An analysis of the catalog structure against key queries, including correct breadcrumbs.
2. On-page optimization
- Meta tags checked, reworked and updated for main pages, category pages and product cards.
- Category optimization: text analysis, plus briefs for informational and commercial texts where needed.
- Product cards: briefs for product descriptions.
- Images optimized, with alt texts written from the collected semantics and the competitor analysis.
- Internal linking rebuilt around the approved site structure, to spread link equity evenly.
- A content plan for the blog.
3. Off-page optimization
We analyzed the backlink profile to decide how to build link mass that actually helps target queries, then designed and ran a link-building strategy that spends resources where they pay off.
Results — October 2024 – March 2025
Within four months every core indicator was growing. By month six the effect was easy to measure: March 2025 against February 2025.
| Metric | Change, March 2025 vs February 2025 |
|---|---|
| Revenue | +105% |
| Purchases | +67% |
| Total users | +34% |
| Search impressions | +39% |
The picture is clearest after a small dip in January 2025: February and March show recovery and further growth in all key metrics. Impressions growing alongside users means the site is reaching a wider audience, not just converting the same one better. The share of keywords in the top positions is also rising steadily.
Strategy Update
After six months we analyzed Google Analytics and Search Console data to find the pages that generate the most traffic and conversions, the pages with weak engagement and the directions with the largest business impact. The update focused on:
- Technical: a migration plan to Latin-script URLs with correct 301 redirects as part of the move to Shopify, a proper URL structure for subcategories, canonical tags for the transition period and faster mobile page speed.
- Content: systematic testing of titles and descriptions to raise CTR, expanding the semantic core with queries on positions 10–20 and long-tail queries with high conversion, unique product descriptions (in progress) and user-generated content such as reviews and customer photos.
- Link building: guest posts on authoritative resources, partnerships with topical sites and collaborations with brands and influencers.
Conclusion
A comprehensive SEO strategy gave stable, measurable results from the first months: more purchases, more revenue, more organic traffic and wider reach in search. Technical optimization, work on semantics and structure, on-page and off-page SEO and a content plan raised positions for target keywords and made pages more relevant. With the strategy updated and scaled, organic search is on track to become one of the store's main acquisition channels and to reduce its dependence on paid traffic.
